I was just cleaning out my mail box and found this from my friend Traci from over a year ago. I really need to clean that thing out more often.

Man, I'm either really sick or I had a really bad allergic reaction to Dad's cat this week. I feel like crap. I can't breathe and I just coughed so hard my arm went numb. At least I made enough dough today that I don't have to go to work tomorrow. I think I need to stay home and relax.

Damn, I just realized Daylight Savings time starts Sunday morning. Ick. I hate springing forward. Why, in this day and age, can't we just pick a time and leave it alone? The whole world doesn't even do it and even those that do don't do it at the same time. They were saying on Art Bell's program this morning that England changes like a week before the United States.
Speaking of England, the internet is sooooooo cool. I ordered a CD from Amazon UK the other day. It was
The Tribe Soundtrack that isn't imported to this country. One sold on eBay for more than it cost to get it from England. Wild. It'll probably get here before the stuff I ordered from the US Amazon site since one of the items I ordered was available for shipping in 2-3 days. The subtle differences are kind of cool. They use dispatched instead of shipped and basket instead of cart. Call me weird, but I thought it was kind of neat.

I watched the
geek wedding this evening on TechTv's The ScreenSavers. It was so sweet! Leo LaPorte performed the ceremony, a robot was the ring bearer and Patrick Norton looked hunky in his tux.
The hot topic on radio talk shows lately (aside from talk about the Middle East) has been about some poll that declared that our society is ruder than ever. Duh! I think the height of rudeness occurred to me the other day. Dad and I were having lunch at the Hamburger Stand. Two kids came in carrying a Rubbermaid tote. I've seen these kids all over town for years trying to sell stuff. I assumed they were stopping to eat, but noooo, they approached our table while Dad and I are conversing and try to peddle their shit while I'm eating. I normally am very polite to kids trying to sell stuff, even if I cannot buy anything at the present time, but damn it, that set me off. I've had it with the lack of common courtesy. I went off on the kid about bothering a restraurant's patrons while they were dining. He totally picked the wrong day to mess with me.
I had more to say the other day when Blogger was screwed up, but dang it, I can't remember any of it now that I can get on. I should've made some notes. Oh, well, couldn't have been that important anyway, huh?
Well, I've got to got pay the lot rent and the landlord will keep me talking for hours, so if I remember any of it, I'll have to post tomorrow.

Man, I totally forgot to do Friday Five last week. Oh, well. Here's this week's:
1. What are the first things that you do in the morning to start your day?
Curse Marcus for hitting the snooze over and over (waking me up earlier than I want to be up), stumble to the bathroom, let the dogs out, get dressed, let the dogs in, warm up the car, kiss Marcus goodbye and go to work. This happens every morning except Monday when I leave off the car and work part (my day off) and Saturday when Marcus sleeps in and the alarm doesn't go off like 10 times (his day off).
2. What are the last things that you do at night before going to bed?
Let the dogs out, feed the birds, check my email, watch some WB2 news to see what's going on in the world, and read a little bit (usually a craft magazine, Foxtrot, Sherman's Lagoon, Stephen King), then kiss Marcus goodnight.
3. What daily routine have you recently added to your day?
Unfortunately, there is nothing new in my routine.
4. What routine do you wish you get rid of?
Going to work. HA! No, seriously, I could do without having to let the dogs out. I've got one of those dogs that always wants in and out. Drives me nuts.
5. What's the one thing that makes you feel like something is missing if you don't do it some point within your day?
Getting on the internet. If I don't at least check my mail, the whole day feels out of whack. What did I do before the internet?
